Amazake is a Japanese traditional sweet non-alcohol drink which is served as a snack or dessert. Usually popular in winter, but nowadays it's also available in summer. Amazake is made from Sake Lees which is left over from making Japanese Sake (Pureed type). There are also another types of Amazake which is made from Koji - Malted rice (Transparent with rice type). It is said that Amazake contains many vitamins and nutrition. In winter, there are ready made canned Amazake available at the supermarket and also vendors at a temple and shrine.
